My best total ever: 52 parks!
I attended games at the parks of the following Major League, Minor League and college teams in 2004. Last year was the first time that I recorded games at college and independent-league parks, so I kept up that practice this year. Ballpark number 51 for me, by the way, was Phoenix Municipal Stadium during the Arizona Fall League. I figured I was done for the year at that point, but a series of lucky coincidences landed me at a game in the Mexican Pacific League in December (see photo). Check out my article and photos from that fascinating south-of-the-border experience!
Along the way, I created a spreadsheet that you can use to tally up how many parks you’ve visited, since it lists all of the big-league and affiliated minor-league teams. If you’d like for me to send it to you free of charge, send an e-mail to the following address (I’m not stringing it all together to prevent those no-good, worthless spammers from stealing it and sending me hundreds of garbage messages): “joemock” then the “at” sign (you know, a “@”) then “baseballparks.com”. In the subject line simply put “I’d like the scoresheet for counting ballparks.”
All the parks I’ve ever seen are on this page.
For your information, the year the stadium opened (if known) is shown in parenthesis:
